FAQ

Q. What does the foursquare church believe?

A. OHFC belongs to the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG). Founded on this verse, Hebrews 13:8 (New King James Version) Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever. We are committed to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ as defined in Scripture, Jesus the Savior (John 3:16), Jesus the Healer (1 Peter 2:24), Jesus the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) and Jesus the Soon Coming King (Rev. 19:6). Q. Where can I watch services online:

A. Currently our services are not available online.

Q. what can I expect to happen in a worship service at OHFC?

A. You will be greeted at the front door and given a first time visitor bag. The greeters are available for any questions you might have and can help you find a seat if necessary. In bad weather valet service is also offered. Just pull up to the main entrance door.

We are a family so we know each other. First time visitors are noticed and people will introduce themselves. The service will include worship, a message, Scripture reading, an offering, corporate prayer and an opportunity for people to share what Jesus has done in their life, we call this a Shout Out. On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate Communion (also known as the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist) together. At OHFC Communion is open to anyone who has received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You do not have to be a member of OHFC to participate. We encourage parents to teach their children about Communion and parents determine when their child can participate. We respect each persons level of maturity and comfort in participating during the service.

OHFC believes in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in Romans 12: 6-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-10. In our services we encourage people to minister to the Lord and one another as the Holy Spirit leads within the guidelines of the fruit of the Holy Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-25.

Q. how do people dress to attend church at OHFC?

A. OHFC does not have a dress code. You will see people dressed in anything from jeans to dress clothes. Feel free to wear what you are comfortable in.

Q. what kind of service does OHFC provide for kids and youth?

A. Nursery (Birth-Pre-school) is provided for the entire Sunday service. K-5th grades are dismissed during the sermon to receive age related Biblical teaching. OHFC uses a systematic curriculum (The Gospel Project) so the entire Bible is taught over time. Youth, 6th-12th grade, remain in our Sunday gathering, but do have a small group gathering during the week.  OHFC requires at least 6 months of consistent attendance and character along with a background check and application before serving in our Youth and Kids ministries.

Q. how can I get connected or serve at OHFC?

A. OHFC has many areas of serving and small group gatherings where your gifts can be used and where you can connect with others at a deeper level. We encourage everyone to attend a small group. We have a variety of small group meetings. Some examples are small groups for High/Middle School, Elementary Kids, Married, Single, Parenting, Prayer and some just gather to eat and fellowship. Please see a church leader to get more details.

OHFC encourages everyone to serve by using their gifts and talents. The Bible teaches that we all have special gifts that can be used to help others. Some gifts are public and some are more behind the scenes. All gifts are important and needed! We have ministries that anyone at any level can serve. Examples of those are greeters, ushers, computer needs and family meal servers. Our leadership ministries have an extra level of requirements due to the nature of those responsibilities. Examples are elders, teachers and worship team.
